HM Vallés is a medical-surgical hospital located in the heart of Alcalá de Henares. It was the first clinic center in Alcalá. It opened its doors in 1963 and was built in Francisco Vallés' house place. Known as "El Divino Vallés", he was the personal physician of Felipe II but also a humanist and a writer who was considered the greatest Spanish exponent of Renaissance medicine.
In 2015 HM Vallés, as well as the two polyclinics that complete it, became part of the HM Hospitals Group. It has all the medical and surgical specialties of adults, in addition to 24-hour emergencies. Later, in May 2016, the three HM La Paloma polyclinics were acquired, which are located in Torrejón de Ardoz and they currently depend on hospital HM Vallés.
The Diagnostic Imaging Service of HM Vallés includes, in addition to conventional radiology equipment, ultrasound, mammography, multi-slice CT (16 slices), open magnetic resonance imaging and orthopantomography. The diagnostic service is completed by the Nuclear Medicine Service, equipped with the latest equipment that allows multiple studies to be carried out.
We have the Assisted Reproduction Unit (HM Fertility Center) that has its own consultations, an in vitro fertilization laboratory and a puncture room.
Other Units to be highlighted are the Ophthalmology Unit, with a Refractive Surgery Unit with the latest laser technologies (EXCIMER and VISUMAX RELEX SMILE), as well as the use of green laser urology for prostate surgery.
In the two outpatient polyclinics that complete their facilities, they have separate Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy Gyms, as well as a Dental Health Unit.
