June 25, 2025

Since it began operating last April, the International Patient Service at HM Santísima Trinidad has cared for more than 150 foreign patients. The profiles of these individuals are highly diverse, including university students, tourists, and professionals from various fields who are in Salamanca for work-related reasons.

This department is specially designed to offer multilingual, comprehensive, and personalised assistance, ensuring that international patients have immediate access to the specialists and services available at the hospital. Thanks to this service, any foreign national can visit HM Santísima Trinidad, whether through international policies, travel insurance, or privately. It also provides in-person care 24 hours a day, ensuring continuous support, along with uninterrupted telephone assistance from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm to address queries and manage administrative matters.

“This service reaffirms our commitment to accessible, high-quality healthcare for patients from all over the world. We have a specialised team that speaks several languages and understands the specific cultural needs of foreign patients, which ensures high-quality medical and administrative care at all times,” says Dr Mariví Montero, Medical Director of HM Santísima Trinidad.

The head of the International Patient Service, Olivia Montardit, highlights that “we offer close and multilingual support so that each international patient feels understood and safe at all times. Our priority is to provide fast and effective access to the medical care they need, with quality, warmth, and without barriers – from the very first call to hospital discharge and follow-up care. We are very pleased to be able to offer Salamanca’s international community a service designed to care for them and support them during their stay in the city.”

With the arrival of summer, HM Santísima Trinidad expects increased activity in this Service due to the higher influx of international tourists and Spanish-language students visiting the city of Salamanca.
